The Reform of Adult Social Care Law Debate - January 22nd 2010 |
I found the day tremendously useful and informative. It was good to be at the beginning of the consultation process and to contribute to shaping and informing the thinking of the Law Society Commissioners. Suzy Braye was excellent in pulling together and framing the very distinct agendas of the lawyers and the participants and we left feeling as though the debates of the day would be taken forward. Reading the latest consultation article in last week's 'Community Care', I feel validated in this view!
A very positive and exciting day. Many thanks.

I thought the day was really interesting and helpful to me as a Lawyer to understand the different viewpoints of the parties who attended and who will be affected by this potentially enormous change in legislation. As a lawyer you become very effective at fire fighting individual challenges, but it is also really helpful to know what people are hoping to achieve from changes such as this. It certainly assists me in advising clients more effectively.
